There is. It looks like Google has changed the Google Groups interface a
bit again though, so I'm not sure how accessible it is.
If you follow the link at the end of this message to take you to the
viphone group page, there's a My Settings menu right above the list of
messages. The first entry in this menu includes email settings. Here you
can switch to digest mode.
I had to use review mode with Orca to get this far. I couldn't get
anywhere with ChromeVox. I'm not sure how far you'll get with your
browser/screen reader combination, but maybe this will help.
