I have this problem once in a while with my 5. The difference is that I can't do anything including your solution to make it right so I have to terminate the call and re-initiate it. May I ask what carrier you have? I'm hoping it has nothing to do with a specific carrier. DJ

When I make or receive a phone call, I can't be heard by the person I'm talking with, unless I take the phone away from my ear and thus put it on speaker phone. Then I am heard fine.
