Also, when you select a tab like News, or Videos, it says selected now.
In the news, it seems that you only have to flick once to get to a new
article instead of three times like it was. I have only read a couple
articles, but the repetition issue seems to be better as well. I used to
get parts of articles reread automatically, not very useful. I think that
is now gone.
It looks like they actually listened to all the feedback and fixed things.

Saw an update for at bat yesterday, so downloaded it.
Haven't checked it out thoroughly, but one good thing I've noticed is
that sthe audio no longer stops when you lock the phone. Also, feeds
are working well for me with no drop outs.
