Delicate? Maybe I am in the minority and have somehow gone unscathed, but 
I've had a 3gs, a 4 and now have a 5, actually had the 4S for quite a wile 
after getting the 5. I never had one cable break or malfunction and while I 
didn't deliberately try to see if i could ruin them, I wouldn't at all say 
that i treated them as delicate!
