Hi all,

My parents are currently traveling for an extended period of time, and my Mom
was wondering about paying her bills while on the road.

What is the best way to be secure while surfing the net & traveling? Would you
say your Verizon wireless connection on your iPhone or iPad is more secure than
the camp ground wireless or coffee shop?

I read the following paragraph from VZW:
At Verizon Wireless, we believe that a reliable network is also a secure
network. We work every day to protect our network against outside attacks,
tampering, malicious activity and events that could potentially disrupt or
degrade our customers’ ability to use Verizon Wireless voice and data services.
How We Do It
We guard against suspicious traffic patterns. Without interfering with normal,
valid traffic, we use our own analysis and third-party intelligence to select
and proactively block a limited number of potentially harmful sources. We also
take measures to limit, contain and prevent malicious software, or “malware,”
found on customer equipment from impacting our network while protecting our
customers’ equipment and preventing high, unexpected billed usage.
We don’t, however, block lawful traffic based on content or subject, nor do we
block sites based on content or subject. The only exceptions to this rule are
when the IP address hosts unlawful content or when it’s blocked at the
customer’s request.
Still Have Questions?
For information about subscriber access to a particular Internet site or
destination on the Verizon Wireless network, send us your questions in an email.
