BlankKliphton,

No as is Bose's philosophy, there is no user-adjustable tone capability.
You can do some things with an EQ program on your iPhone, or use the
built--in EQ presets in your sound settings area.

I don't know of any way to change the Jambox tonality either, although it
does have Live Mode.

Is there anyway to change the modes on the sound link? Like trebles, base,
ECT?

Subject: re: Bose Soundlink II or Big Jambox

I don't have the Soundlink II, I have the original. I have read comparative
reviews comparing the Soundlink with the SoundLink II. In general, those
reviews say there is slight improvement in the mid and treble range compared
to the original. Most of the reviews state it is not worth the difference
if you own an original.

There are a few other changes in the new version. There is a bifold cover
on the back instead of the wider cover on the original; this allows it to
take up less space when opened, but makes it a lot more unstable. There is
no improvement in battery life, except that the battery charge indicator is
now multi-colored. You cannot charge the speaker via USB port.

I would give the Bose a smidgeon better rating on pure sound, although I
think the original Jambox has a crisper sound compared with the original
SoundLink.

As to useability, there is frankly no comparison. As I've stated before
(list archives), the Jambox is an order of magnitude more user friendly. I
don't have bluetooth issues with the Jambox, while I occasionally have
problems getting the Bose to pair, even when my device was the last to use
it. Since I'm often by the speaker, I like the fact that you can rewind,
fast-forward, skip, etc. songs using the speaker's controls. You can't do
that with the Bose.
