Hi Ramy,
You just have to take pictures of the same item and record a description for each item. You cannot take, for example, 3 pictures of the same item as in maybe one from the front, one from the back and one from the side and have these all associated with the same voice recording. Basically each picture you take even if it is for the same item is separate and has its own recording/description. It is also very much recommended that you ask a sighted person to take the original picture since you get much more reliable results. The item has to be properly focused, you should not have anything else in the background and as much as possible the item should fill the entire picture. This means that if it is a small item like maybe a credit card or other card of that size that the picture has to be taken fairly close up, but if the item is the size of a piece of paper one has to hold the camera further away. I assume that a blind person could possibly get reasonably good results by using the Standscan for taking pictures since at least it has white background.
