Hi Steve, If you don't have a credit card you obviously wouldn't be able to buy it online from Apple. As Chris pointed out, many places sell them like grocery stores, drug stores, probably Wallmart, Target, Best Buy etc.
Keep in mind that once you buy the gift card, you need a rather long code that is on the card and that consists of a random series of numbers and letters. You might need sighted help to get it off the card. What I usually do is when I buy a card at a store which I typically only do is when they have a promotion going like buy a $50 card for $40, then I just pull out my phone, I go to the app store, tap on the Featured tab at the bottom left of the phone and wait for the page to load. I then touch the Featured tab again and swipe left 2 or 3 times until I get to "Redeem", I go into that and ask the clerk at the store to scratch the code and read it to me. I'll put it in right away and redeem the gift card, then I check my balance which you do in that same area and once I make sure the balance is there I just tell the clerk to throw out the card since at that point the card has been redeemed and is useless.
