After reading some of the "What Do They Do" thread, I just want to put a positive spin on our thoughts in this list here.

When I first considered an iPhone I had very serious misgivings as to whether or not I'd be able -- as a totally blind person -- to effectively use an iPhone.

One step I took was to subscribe to this list so I could get a feel for whether or not I would be able to grasp the concepts and usage of said device.

What I discovered from this list is that the iPhone is a wonderfully accessible product; designed by Apple to be so. But I also learned that it would take some effort on my part to learn how to use this magic communicator (all that's missing is the "Stun" app) ;-)).

I learned a lot from all sorts of questions and answers; all questions indeed. What I learned from the "advanced questions" is that this device has the remarkable capability to interface meaningfully with blind users. What I learned from the "hold my hand questions" is that getting to the advanced stage will be potentially daunting to some folks. I appreciate all questions because it made me completely aware of what I was getting into when I finally ordered my iPhone 5.

And glad I am that I stepped into the world of smart mobile phones; as glad I am that I subscribed to this list and learned what I needed to be aware of when taking that step.

God bless and "Thank You" to all of you!
