If anyone has come up with a way to mass delete on the computer, please let me know. The only way I can mass delete is from the trash with the phone.

Chose IMAP if it is an option between IMAP or POP. IMAP synchronize email between iPhone, iPod, Mac and iPad. Let us think about 8000 thousand emails. You can have 4 Labels or Maps containing 2000 in each.
