Hi Steve, As far as I know, you can't setup an account in Magic Jack unless you buy a Magic Jack. You can do that at MagicJack.com. Once you receive your Magic Jack, you can plug it once in your computer for it to install its software and take you to setting up your account. Once that is done, you can disconnect your Magic Jack from your computer and plug it into your router. Plug any telephone into it and you are ready to make and receive calls at home without your computer being turned on. Once your account is working properly, you can configure your IPhone to work with that account. I suggest you go to their web site and see what they have to offer and at what cost. I love mine. I can call anywhere in North America at any time of the day and not be limited in time and at no charge except for the annual subscription which is included for the first year in the purchase of the device.
