It is now possible to control volume from a control within the app which seems to be activated or deactivated similarly to the delete button. And it is also now possible to advance through a current chapter with a slider control while paused. I'm not sure if this works while the audio is playing but it definitely works while the audio is paused. the only minor glitch that I found is that the two finger scrub gesture still doesn't activate the back button. but compared with that which we formerly were dealing that's a minor inconvenience to me. I'm off to send a correspondence of thanks to audible via social media and email. If I'm one to complain when something's wrong I also think it important to praise that which is successfully addressed and fixed.
