Yes sometimes the app seems happier after such a refreshing.

I'm glad her problem was fixed either way though and I'm very glad for the
improvements they made and have already written to tell them so.

Hi Robin,

Your suggestion about refreshing the library is an excellent one. I remember
last summer I tried to download a book that I could not fine. I knew I
purchased it, but it wasn't in my list. Refreshing the library fixed it.

I have just updated to this version. I was very much looking forward to any
improvements, although the apt description did not give much away. In order
to try it out however I had to download it book from the library as I am
between books. Every book I have tried to download I have been told this
book is not available to download wirelessly but you can use iTunes. I do
not want to use iTunes! I want to use my Wi-Fi connection! As I always have!
Has anybody else had this problem today? Does anyone have any ideas what I
can do to resolve it? Thank you!

This morning the world was treated to an update of the audible app for
iDevices.  We're now at version 2.0.2 (331) as it reports.  A cursory
exploration of the app thus far has revealed that chapters are now
identified while reading.  It is now possible to control volume from a
control within the app which seems to be activated or deactivated similarly
to the delete button.  And it is also now possible to advance through a
current chapter with a slider control while paused.  I'm not sure if this
works while the audio is playing but it definitely works while the audio is
paused.

the only minor glitch that I found is that the two finger scrub gesture
still doesn't activate the back button.  but compared with that which we
formerly were dealing that's a minor inconvenience to me.  I'm off to send a
correspondence of thanks to audible via social media and email.  If I'm one
to complain when something's wrong I also think it important to praise that
which is successfully addressed and fixed.
