I have blocked any frustrating messages so I will no longer be receiving

Hi Fred and list,
First off, kudos to you, Fred for recommending Anna and Dean's book! This is
great!
However, several points off for style. ;)
If you're going to offer assistance, please do it without the attitude.
this goes for everyone.
Yes, I know there are going to be repeat questions or notes you'd consider
novice questions that you'd rather not read. This is fine. It's not fine to
make someone feel lousy for asking them, no matter how much smarter you
might decide to consider yourself than the questioner. The fact is that
responses like these show the opposite.
So please refrain from this sort of thing on the list.
If you would rather not hear the same question again or would rather not
answer such a question, then simply use your delete key and let someone else
answer the question. At this point, there are many people on this list who
are willing and able to answer any questions that may come up. If one person
is tired of answering questions then someone else will be there to do so.
This way, everyone can take a breather and all the questions get addressed.
:)
Please keep the list politeā¦
Remember, people who might be lurking actually learn from reading responses.
They also learn what is acceptable from the tone of these responses and the
tone of the threads such responses generate. So make your responses
positive.
Frustration is normal. If you have issues then either write me or Raul
off-list or address your concerns with the poster directly off-list as well.
This list is a positive and welcoming place. Please keep it that way.
Thank you all!
Smiles,
Cara :)

Ray, may I suggest a book to you? It is called "Getting started with the
iPhone by Anna Dresner and Dean Martineau. It is available in several
formats from the National Braille Press. I suggest this book because if you
had read it before you received your phone or had it when your phone
arrived, many, many, many, many of the multitude of questions which you have
posed to the list in the last three weeks or so could have been answered
without having to send what I figure to be somewhere near 200 messages to
the list. I am not suggesting that you not ask questions, only that you give
some thought to making use of a resource which is easily available to you
and save the difficult questions for the list.

Subject: searching the app store
What I have tried to do is use the ITunes application to search for the
apps I am looking for
without success to find them I ended up going to either itunes.com or the
providers website to find
the app. I suspect this is neither a simple or smart way to do this How
is it done if it can be
done through the app?
