Hi Christine, The only way I can get it to work is to double tap and hold, then move your finger from right to left or left to right after you have activated the fine tuning option. Also, I have found that if using an iPhone 5, the next artist that is scheduled to play doesn't show up in the now playing window, but it does on the iPhone 4S. Strange.
