Those kinds of apps use pictures instead of text like many magazines do. Even though text may be present, there are color illustrations as well. I bought a subscription to Motor Home magazine that looked accessible. It was as far as reading the list of articles was concerned. The sad part was when you opened one of the stories, it actually opens a pictorial view of what the printed magazine page looks like.
Hope that makes sense. I gave it my best shot at describing it. They did offer to refund my money back to my credit card which was very nice of them.
