Nope.

You find your device in iTunes. Hit the apps radio button. Go to File Sharing 
and arrow down to Kindle. Then go to the Add button. Click on that, and the 
usual dialog will open up. Find the file or files you want to add, and they 
will be added to the Kindle app somehow. Then you just sync the device and they 
*should* appear.
