No, that message isn't there. I wonder if your awkward books are ones that 
don't have proper chapter divisions. I've seen this in some of the cheaper Kobo 
books where Kobo will read through umpteen chapters before stopping in the way 
it normally does at the end of one chapter. You can navigate from chapter to 
chapter using headings luckily but it is rather odd.
