Hi Rick, that wasn't me, but wow, that's a bug for sure. So, I assume if
you set it to something close to 0, like 10, then things still work
right? let's hope so.

If I go into the Kindle app View options available from the double tap
menu, and set brightness to 0 to conserve battery life, the entire
double tap menu is reduced to only 1 option which is return to book. I
found this both on my iPhone and iPad Mini.
The only way I was able to get the menu back to normal was to delete the
app from my device and reinstall.
Just mentioning it here in case anyone else runs into this. Note that
reinstalling the app fixes it and you don't lose anything, not even your
last read place in your books.
