Hi Paul. I find that rating apps is done easier from the App Store from
the iDevice instead of from iTunes. Here's what I do.
1. Double-tap the App Store.
2. Double-tap Search at the bottom. Basically find the app in question.
So, I won't go into those specific steps.
3. Once you have the app on the screen, around the middle of the screen
are 3 tabs, description, rating, and similar apps. Double-tap ratings.
4. Once in ratings you can keep flicking right to read the various
ratings. There is a rate this app section. Double tap that.
5. You will be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. Just like when you
purchase an app. So go ahead and do so.
6. Now there are 3 sections in the rating screen. The stars you give it,
the title of your review, and the review text. I believe that 1 and 2
are necessary, but 3 is not. The stars picker once touched can be
changed with flicking up. Then double tap the next section and type in
or dictate a title for your review. Then double-tap the last area and
type or dictate your review. Once done, there is a button on the top to
submit your review.
I don't have my device in front of me right now so can't give exact
steps or what things are exactly labeled, but this should get you in the
right direction.
