Hi, since you are using gmail, it's best if you go to
http://mail.google.com/mail/h and log in with your gmail username and
password. Then go to the edit labels link. Now, create labels for the
so-called folders you want. Email programs like Outlook, Thunderbird,
iPhone mail, and mac mail see the gmail labels like folders. You can
then move messages into these so-called folders using which ever mail
program you use, even on the iPhone. You can take it a step further on
the gmail site and create filters. I have one for example which says
that if a message comes from [email protected], skip the inbox
and apply the viphone label. That means that when messages to this list
are sent, they are not placed in my inbox, but instead are placed in the
so-called viphone folder. Remember I say so-called because they are
actually labels. The real emails go into a real folder called all mail.
However you don't need to concern yourself with reading the messages
from that one.
