Hi Sieghard, I guess the 30% is to compensate for the fact that you are purchasing a Kindle book and not an IBook. That way, Apple get their money one way or the other. So much for our freedom of choice.

I think it's a bit greedy of Apple to demand this, it's not like they don't make enough money and also they do not prevent people from buying Kindl books or Audible books by forcing them to go through the website first.
