I think skype and Facetime would work through it so long as they turned the phone's 3G off to be sure it didn't try using that. Hi Everyone, I am asking this question for a friend. Her daughter is going to Mexico. The hotel has wi-fi available. Is there an accessible app that would allow her daughter to text and/or call from Mexico to avoid international and roaming charges? Her daughter is not visually impaired. If there is such an app, do both parties have to have the app installed? Or, is it possible for the kids to install such an app on their phone and my friend (who is visually impaired) to receive the text on her Iphone without an additional app? They are using 4s phones.
