Hi again,

It is possible I will be sending a few messages re how to get the best out
of some of the OCR Apps, I am making sure to keep the subject lines clear so
that those who are not interested can just skip them. Hope that is OK?

Right! This time I shot the same page of a brochure as the one I did with
Prizmo, also free-hand. In the past I have found Text Grabber too fussy with
regard to alignment and only managed good results after using it with the
StandScan Pro. However, I think they may have improved things a bit, it does
seem more forgiving of slight skew.

Here is the Text Grabber result and I think it has the edge on Prizmo, but
not much in it!

    Sandy.

2013 An Post Ras
Coming your way
May 19-26,2013
An Post is the leading supporter of Irish Cycling, a presence we have built on
over six years of real commitment to the sport.
This is the 6ist Ras and it is a credit to all involved
that the race is operating at the highest standard
in such challenging economic times. From the number of county and international
teams
participating, to the army of volunteers and the energy of race week itself-the
race is a real achievement for everyone involved.
It is fair to say that the appetite among Irish
towns to host a stage of An Post Ras is very
healthy and this community effort is key to making An Post Ras a destination
event in every locality it visits. Each stage end has its own flavour because
people in local businesses, sporting and community groups create a unique event
of the race
We all know from experience that it is the
build up, the atmosphere and the expectation which adds to the radng. While the
race travels at speed through countryside and towns, the support of our
customers is superb all along
the route and particularly at the finishes. 2013 is the Gatheringyear and the
race has additional importance and prestige in being an event which attracts
more than fourteen
international teams to compete against our county and national teams. It was
super last
year to meet Irish people who had travelled
back to Ireland to follow the race for a few
days - having a great time and enjoying the amazing weather. We hope that will
be the case again this year!
The race is a wonderful way to showcase our countryside and our culture as well
as the Irish racing scene on an international level. We are working together to
make sure that we bring the race to a national and international audience.
An Post Ras repays that effort in turn with an economie boost to the local
economy, great sporting moments, a family day out and memories made. So join us
for An Post Ras,
May 19-26,2013.
