Although one can accomplish most anything that is truly necessary on the Mac as 
an administrative user, in order to fully appreciate the difference between an 
administrative user and a root user, I have enabled the root user. 
Unfortunately, when I log in as the root user, I cannot turn VoiceOver on with 
command f5 as I might expect. When I issue this command, I continue to have a 
silent computer.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this problem would be greatly appreciated.
