Hi and sorry for the double post.

It is possible, depending on what version of iOs the phone was running
before it was downgraded and if it was jailbroken that you might be
able to upgrade to iOs5 if you didn't want to go to 6. To do this,
download tinyumbrella on your computer, connect your phone and see
what blobs it says are available.
