Until a fix arrives, a possible alternative may be to subscribe to the
topics that interest you through Facebook. I think I did this on my Windows
PC; it was a long time ago, so I don't remember how I did it. I do know that
stories show up on my Facebook, and there are still readable titles. Now
that VoiceBook VO is working again, I can swipe through the entries,
double-tap one that interests me, and double-tap the "Follow Link" item when
the action menu comes up. The page opens in Safari, and away we go.
