Can't you take that photo from your laptop, put it in to dropbox, get it out
of dropbox on your iPhone then uploaded to twitter? Seems as if that'd work
to me.

I had already looked at my facebook profile in the iPhone Facebook app.
No obvious way to export photos elsewhere presented itself. That is why I
wrote to the list.
