Hi Kevin, Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. Go to your device and tab until you get to the Restore button. You can do a full restore and if you really want to start from scratch, then set up your phone as a new device, this will put it back to how it came from the factory. \However, this means you have to reinstall all your apps and sync all your music again, also you will have to set up any email accounts again, re-enter passwords such as for WiFi and so on.
Depending on how much content you had on your phone it can be a real piece of work and take you a few hours, but your phone will be perfectly reset and there are situations where any issues may show up again if you simply do a restore and then back up from a backup you did before.
