Hi Karen, Hopefully you will get some helpful replies, but in the meantime I thought I mention that the Square Card Reader has been discussed before and you might find some helpful hints if you do a search in the archives for "Square Card" or "Squarecard" (not sure if officially it is spelled in one or 2 words, but people might have done both). It's a pretty unique name so a search should be quite easy to do.
There are a few discussions about Square on Applevis, but a quick look seems to indicate that they are mostly forum questions which have some often answers where others offer guesses as to how this might work. I think that a Bluetooth headset might be your best option although it also is an educated guess since I don't have or use the Square card reader.
