Hi Jim, it depends on how you have your contacts set up on your iPhone.
If they are on the sim, you might be able to sync them over to Windows
or Mac using iTunes, and then sync them from the Windows or Mac via
iTunes back to the iPad. To me this is not the way to go. Instead I
have all my contacts setup on Google. I have a CardDAV account set up in
Mail and Contacts and I just put in my Google user name and password and
all my contacts are synced. The advantage of this is that if I modify or
add or delete a contact from my iPhone it's automatically updated on the
iPad and in my Thunderbird contacts on my PC. iClud can do this of
course between Macs and iDevices, but I'm not sure how it works for the
other programs like Thunderbird. So, that's why I use Google.
