Hi Annie,
You could turn off "Page identification, or whatever it is called" but it
is just as easy to ignore the up down etc and move straight to "take picture".
I do now find that the guitar sounds are useful and, visually, the screen is
busy getting a good focus/fix on the text and doesn't take the shot until at
least some text had been identified.
I do still miss the possibility of using a voice command to take the shot,
not because of the tapping interferring, as people have said, the app allows
time for focusing, but sometimes both free-hand and using the SSP, I need both
hands to control the pages of a book.
