Hi Annie, The only thing I can think of is that the phone may not be able to handle that much at once.
Also, do you have it using iCloud? I wonder if that takes more of the phone's resources. Do you have the logging set to on under settings, diagnosis and usage? That might help it send automatic reports to the developer. Unless the images are stored in a way that you could use file sharing with iTunes, I can't think of another way to get them off the phone. I think I will try a book myself and see what happens.
