I totally misread the response. I heard Feedly, not Feeddler, and agreed
Feeddler is an excellent app. I think the Feeddler developer is looking for
an alternative. No news yet though, so I too am looking for a good
replacement for Google Reader with decent iOS app.--Joe

The problem with Feeddler and most other RSS apps is that they all use
Google Reader to pull the subscriptions from. The Feeddler dev has mentioned
plans for the app beyond Reader, but as of yet, no news. At least nothing
I've seen.
A lot of people are talking up Feedly as a Reader replacement, but I've
found the iOS app to not be very VO friendly.

Did you get the iOS app to work well? I thought it was less than pleasant
with Voiceover. I know, I know. I'm looking for decent web access and iOS
functionality, my cake and what not, but Google Reader set a pretty high
standard.--Joe

Hello. I found an RSS reader called Feeddler. It's been working good for
me so far.

Did anyone respond to this? I'm also interested in suggestions. Lire
seems like a good iOS option from what I've read, but I also need
web-based access. There's one, I think the name's FeedReader, that
could prove promising, but I haven't tried mobile access yet.--Joe

Subject: Requesting Update on the RSS Reader Scene
Hello, everyone.
With the shutdown of Google Reader scheduled to happen in about a
month, I'm eager to learn the status of accessible RSS readers. I'm
extremely pleased with Lire, developed by Kunal Sood in India, a
vendor extremely conscious of the needs of those who use VoiceOver.
He has fashioned a reader which, as far as I can tell, is entirely
accessible to VoiceOver users. Have other RSS developers created
accessible products which function independent of Google Reader?
Thank you for your help.
Craig
