Make sure you go to Settings, Notifications, Messages and turn "Show in Lock Screen" on. Let me know if that does the trick. Also keep in mind that now you have SIRI and if you hear a message but you don't get it, you can ask SIRI to "Read my messages" or "Read my last message". I used to have an iphone 3 and if a text message was received, it would display it and automatically read it. After I updated the software, it stopped doing that. My wife's iphone 3 reads them automatically. On my iphone 5, they display, but do not read automatically. I want them to read, so that I will not have to always have the apple wireless keyboard with me. Does anyone have a fix for this so that they will read.
