I just tried it with or without spaces and it came up each time.
I think the reason why often people don' find an app is because they type it in and then look on the list of matches without actually double tapping on "Search" at the bottom right of the keyboard and then checking the result box one flick to the left of the Featured tab. If I type in Tap Tap See in 3 words it does not show up on the list of matches, but once I tap Search it is the first result of 13. If I type TapTap without space a bunch of matches come up, if I continue and add an "s" there are still a bunch of matches and only if I type TapTapSee complete and without spaces the matches narrow down to just TapTapSee. I always type an app name or part of an app name and then tap Search and review the results in the picker box at the bottom.
