Hi Larry, Both of these are OCR apps, another popular one is Prizmo. Text Detective apparently doesn't recognize an entire page in portrait mode and most people on the list prefer Prizmo and/or Text Grabber.

This takes you to the first search result and I don't think I ever came across a case where the first search result wasn't the iTunes app store page for the app I was looking for. Once you press enter and the page loads, use 1 for heading level 1 or simply "h" for heading to find where the description starts. This is just as easy and quick as to write a message asking about what a particular app does, you usually get a better, more complete answer and you can read the description, see the price and read reviews all at the same time.
