My mom uses the stylist for typing. She has a lot of trouble figuring out the keyboard any other way. The stylist gives her more control. Her nails might also get in the way. LOL. She's not the techiest person in the world and the stylist offers her some more control of where her fingers are going and what on earth they're doing. LOL

Tara, I doubt it is of much use for a blind person since you don't know exactly where you put the tip of your stylus. Sighted people use them sometimes for drawing, but I don't really know anybody personally how even uses one for typing on an iDevice.
