Hi All, I have seen a few emails on this list and elsewhere about not being able to get MBraille to fill in an email address when using the dot mail command. I suspect that people are forgetting that for this to work, the actual email address must either be in your contacts database or you have to write out the entire email address on the dot mail command line.
So, I want to send an email to Allison. I must first make sure that Allison's email address is filled in on her contacts card. Unfortunately, I have lots of contacts that don't have an email address filled in. Assuming, however, that Allison's address is there, I can simply write the body of the email in MBraille, go to a blank line, write .mail "Hello Allison" for the subject and the name Allison after the quoted text. When I then create another blank line, MBraille opens the mail program with everything already filled in. All I have to do is double-tap the send button. If Allison's email address was not in my contacts, I would need to turn grade two translation off and write Allison's entire email address after the quoted subject and then enter a blank line to get the mail program to load with everything filled in.
