I agree that the first link in the message below to Garth Humphreys' iBlindTech democast on selecting text is excellent. I also agree that selecting text is one of the most challenging things to do on the iPhone. I'm still trying to master it. Once the text is selected, you will use the rotor to copy and paste it which is found under the rotor's edit option.
