Hi David,

How do you overwrite these files, all apps I have have unique file names
since the version number is always included, e.g. Goggles 1.4, Skype
4.9.336, Audible 2.0.4 etc.

In the example of Skype, the last version for which I kept a copy was Skype
4.8.324 and I simply copied and pasted it so it shows up as Skype 4.8.324 -
Copy. If I wanted to revert back to that, I could delete Skype 4.9.336 and
then simply take the "- copy" out of the other file name by renaming it.

Regards,

Sieghard

Basically, you need to overwrite the newer version with the older version.
You can either:

Go to the iTunes, apps, folder using explorer and delete the latest version,
followed by your steps, or copy the older version into the app folder and
overwrite the newer version. I prefer the second method myself.

I hope someone has a suggestion on how to get the previous version 1.3 of
Talking Goggles back on my iPhone 5. I keep backups of all app ipa files
whenever a new version comes out. I've gone through the steps of removing
Talking Goggles 1.4 from my phone, removing it from iTunes, copying the 1.3
ipa file to the Automatically Add to iTunes folder, and then re-syncing my
phone to itunes. However, after having done this about 4 times now, every
time I check the Goggles version from within the Purchased Header of the
Apps Store Update, it is listed as version 1.4. I'm perplexed why this is
not working.

I followed the same steps as above when rolling back the Facebook app from
version 6.3 to version 6.2 and it is listed with version 6.2 in the
Purchased Apps section of my phone plus it shows as having an update
available on the updates screen. Talking Goggles doesn't show as having an
update so I'm assuming version 1.4 the latest keeps being reinstalled.

Any suggestions on how to get the old app installed on my phone from one of
you experts? Thanks in advance.
