I'm sure some will check out the trial and decide to move on and just
use their existing tools. That's the whole point of a trial period. For
my part, I'm going to need a trial period or a very good demo/review
before I'd purchase such an app.
Just because you can accomplish something similar with a set of existing
tools doesn't mean there isn't a place for this app and people aren't
going to prefer it's convenience and feature set. There's a reason there
are dozens if not hundreds of note taking apps in the App Store. Choice
is good and what one person doesn't need or won't pay for another person
would be glad to pay for such an app. The market will decide.

I hope the Sendero people are reading this or maybe that their
beta testers pass this on. I think it would be extremely smart for
them to offer a time restricted demo mode or even a short
subscription, e.g. $5 for full access to the app for a week. This
way everybody could try it out without having to fork out the $70
or $130 for the one and three year licence and find out whether
it’s worth it for them to get it. I imagine quite a few people
might buy it if they had a chance to try it out but will not buy
it out of fear it is not as good as what is promised.
I will buy it, but I would appreciate the opportunity to take it
for a spin first as well.
