Hi Will, BlindSquare will announce cross streets as you walk without having to shake the phone. The shake feature will also tell you, but it also gives you more information, it's just an on-demand request feature, but instead of having to press a button you just give your phone a quick shake.
Anyhow, the new Seeing Eye app (you can look it up in the archives, lots of discussion in the last week since it came out) will probably give you the most information and also information which is closest to what a Breeze would give you including upcoming cross streets, description of intersections etc. It is, however, also the most costly solution requiring a subscription which you can purchase for $70 per year or $130 for 3 years. Since it has only just been released it is not feature complete. Sendero will address some bugs in the next updates and then proceed with adding new features.
