Ya, with the garmin and navigon apps, you can also choose what maps to
download, with navigon it's by state, but with the garmin app, it's
divided in to regions, and several states are in more than one region
which makes choosing the best region more difficult. Personally I don't
mind downloading the maps as I go, I'm sure there are some places that
don't have good cell coverage, but it's very rare and uncommon.

I agree, Mike, Motion X seems to be the most accessible. I also like
the ability to download map data before I go somewhere, and the
ability to customize how much space I want to allocate for said map
data on my iDevice.

Hello all. Last night and today I have been looking at several apps in
the store news app. This is one of those apps which gives me
information on apps which are free or at a reduced price. The apps are
divided into categories. In the navigation category there are several
apps which are on sale right now. Tom-tom, Navigon, and Garmin GPS apps
are all on sale right now. You have to of course choose the one that's
appropriate for your region, however I wanted to pass this along in
case some of you are waiting for some of these apps to be on sale so
you can purchase them at a decent price. All you should have to do is
bring up the app store and type in the name of the app of your
preference.
