Hi all, the sleep / lock screen button stopped working last night on my 4S , just too much use, I guess. Anyways, I turned on Assistive touch and used it to lock my iPhone's screen. With Assistive touch you can control the iPhone on the touch screen without using the actual hardware buttons like volume up and down, the home button, mute button and of course the lock screen button. I plan to use the Assistive touch feature in the future to reduce wear and tear on the physical hardware. BTW, it cost me seventy five dollars to get the lock screen button repaired.
