How can I find out if my Plantronics 520 has it or not?

Ok. That's understandable.
In the plantronics range of heqadsets which ones do support it?
What about the plantronics fifty?
thanks

Subject: You need a headset with A2DP support for VoiceOver [Re: Need
help getting Voice over and other sounds to come over my bluetooth headset]
Hi Jerry,
From a search of the Plantronics forums, the Voyager 815 Bluetooth
headset does not support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), which is
the Bluetooth profile that lets VoiceOver be transmitted to your headset. This
is also the profile that lets GPS apps relay turn-by-turn directions through
the headset. For any Bluetooth device, the device manufacturer decides which
profile sets to support, which can be different for each class of Bluetooth
device. For example, devices that support HID (Human Interface Device Profile)
have Bluetooth keyboard support; AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile)
supports remote playback, etc. You don't have to know these acronyms -- just
be aware that not all Bluetooth headphones, keyboards, and audio speakers will
have the same features depending on what profile support is built into the
device firmware.
For headphones and headsets, you need to have support for the A2DP
profile to be able to hear VoiceOver and turn-by-turn directions from
navigation apps through the Bluetooth headset. You can ask for suggestions on
this list for Bluetooth headsets that will relay VoiceOver. I know that in the
Plantronics line, I've heard that some people like the Plantronics Voyager Pro.
A few manufacturers, starting with Blue Ant in Fall 2009, and Jawbone about
half a year later, make Bluetooth headset models with firmware that is software
upgradable. So they can add to the Bluetooth features that the device supports
when you connect the device to your computer and run the software updater. The
BlueAnt Q1 did not originally support VoiceOver, but a software upgrade made it
work in 2009, and also extended the range of what it could speak (battery
levels, etc.) in response to voice queries, and its actions. Jawbone let you
select different Voice "personalities" to the types of voice responses you get
to your voice queries, and used the software downloads to add different
language support. And, back in 2010, the owner of the mac-access list posted,
"I sent Phonak the tech specs of Apple's extended Bluetooth profiles and within
48 hours got a firmware patch. Impressive in the extreme. Even voice dialling
now works with the iPhone and iCom! Spectacular!" This is just meant to give
you a flavor of the range of features that are involved. There are still the
basic questions like how good is the noise cancellation performance for phone
calls, how long does the battery last, how comfortable is this to wear, etc.
I suspect you didn't get an immediate answer because most people would
not know the specs of your model Plantronics headset. But the common reason
for VoiceOver not being heard is that the Bluetooth headset doesn't support
A2DP, so I did a web search to confirm that the Plantronics Voyager 815 does
not have A2DP support, as acknowledged by the moderators of the Plantronics
forums.
HTH. Cheers,
Esther

HI. hope you get an answer to your question. I don't use a blue
tooth headset so am not sure why other sounds wouldn't come over the headset.
