I don't think this is the case. I usually let my battery get down to
below 40 percent, then I flip the switch to charge it. Or, you can just
let the phone use the juice pack battery first, then switch to its own
battery, either way works.

This brings me to an other question:
I somehow remember having read somewhere that, if you leave the phone
connected to a cable that is not charging it the battery is drained
faster. So, if the phone is connected to the case but is not currently
being charged, would this not affect the battery life of the phone?
would be curious about your thoughts.
