Hi Alan, 
Although the new version has an extra step for the favorites, I believe it is 
faster, at least for me, because the name of the contact is displayed so I do 
not have to wait while voice over reads the email address to me so I can figure 
out who is who. 
Now I can quickly flick through the list to find what I am looking for.
