Hi Mike; Open the contact you want to delete.
In the upper right hand corner, you'll find an "Edit" button. Scroll to the end of the contact and, in the lower left hand corner, you'll find a button that says "Delete Contact". Tap that button and another button will come up and ask you to confirm. Hit that button and, the contact will be gond. Hope this helps.
