Hello David,
With the increase of virtual workplaces becoming common-place, this is not an unreasonable request. Skype is a widely used application, which many professions are using to facilitate conferences with clients, colleagues, and patients. Thus, people should expect to see virtual meetings becoming a more frequent occurrence. The native Skype application in the App Store is very compatible with voiceover and works very well. In my experience when participating in video conferences holding the iPhone at the correct height to insure all other parties are able to see me well has proven somewhat of a challenge. For these types of conferences I generally use the iMac because the camera is stationary. When participating in voice conferences the app does work quite well because I can just place my phone into a pocket. One thing I would recommend is when participating in your virtual interview, place your iPhone in airplane mode because if someone were to actually call your phone, the Skype conference would immediately be placed on hold, which given this case, I suspect you do not want to happen. Remember when placing your phone in airplane mode to enable the wifi capability so your Skype calls can be received. Hope this has been helpful. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group. Post a new message to VIPhone by emailing [email protected].
