1, wifi and cellular is about $100 more, or it is over here.

2, audio and video takes up space, buy the biggest you can, memory goes up
in $100 stages.

3, don't know about your carriers, but we're at cross purposes. If you
don't have a cable link with a wifi router, it eliminates you having a wifi
version (not that you can get rid of it), but would have to look for wifi
hotspot type service, or use some kindof data plan. YOu can get data only
cellular simms for them. You'd need to ask around on pricing of those, we
work that all so different over here. Pity you hadn't got a cable
connection at home, how do you get TV? it's the same thing. TV/Broadband
packages are eubiquitous! Then a cheap wifi router would be a possibility
and skip the additional cost of a cellular model, unless you really want to
take it out and still browse; and it still doesn't eliminate the hotspot
market either.

Your own domestic wifi router would allow you to use all the iOs things
through it,... we do do that here.

Subject: Thoughts on getting an iPad Mini and other carriers

Greetings. My wife and I are considering getting an iPad Mini. I have
the following questions for those that have an iPad and/or an iPad
Mini:
1. Is there a difference in price between the iPad Mini with wifi and
the one with wifi/cellular connection?
2. What size did you get? We are looking at a 16 GB model, and we will
be using it for listening to Audible books, playing games, and using
other apps. My wife can see so she wants it for the larger screen. We
will keep our iPhones.
3. If we get an AT&T iPad Mini, will that extend our current mobile
share data plans? Also, can we take our iPad Mini to another carrier?
I saw several different models of iPad Minis for all of the major U.S.
carriers. I wouldn't think it would make a difference which one you
get, since the iPhone uses specific frequencies and the iPads don't.
We are looking at switching to Sprint next year when our current
contracts run out.
We don't have wifi or Internet at home, so we were thinking of getting
the wifi only iPad Mini. I can also see advantages of having a
wifi/data plan model. Any and all thoughts are appreciated.

Regards,
Wayne Merritt
